Price too high and nothing sells; too low and you leave money on the table. A little research helps.

Pricing

• Look at sold listings, not asking prices
• Used items often sell for a fraction of the new price, depending on condition and demand
• Leave a little room to negotiate
• Lower the price after a week if there's no interest

Listing

• Clean it first
• Clear photos in daylight, from several angles, including any flaws
• Brand, model, size, age and condition in the description
• Be honest about flaws; it avoids returns and disputes
